Michelle has vast experience working with addictions and mental health. At the agency, Michelle leads mindfulness groups for clients with anxiety, depression, substance use and ADHD. In the past, Michelle worked in Withdrawal Management Services at the Niagara Health System (NHS). The NHS is where she completed her clinical practicum, focusing on mental health. When Michelle provides therapeutic services to a client, she uses the following clinical approaches:

Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Motivational interviewing

Solution-focused therapy

Currently, Michelle is receiving clinical supervision from well-respected trauma specialist and consultant, Natalie Zlodre. Michelle is also enrolled as an instructor at Wilfred Laurier University, teaching online classes focused on topics such as, trauma and addiction.

Outside of the agency, Michelle is actively pursuing her MBCT certification at the Toronto School of Mindfulness Practices.
